centre<\/h1>\n<p>Bremen\u2019s inhabitants are proud of their history. The Roland Statue built in 1404 and the over 600 year old <a href=\"http:\/\/www.bremer-promenaden.de\/en\/gguided-tour-through-bremens-town-hall\/\">Town Hall<\/a> stand for Bremen\u2019s freedom and trading rights. In 2004 they became part of UNESCO World Heritage. During the tour of Bremer Promenaden, you will learn, among other things, whose view of the Market Square was blocked by the Town Hall 600 years ago, what you have to do to return safely to Bremen, which competition evolved between merchants and councillors and why Bremen was considered the &#8220;Rome of the North&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>In the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.bremer-promenaden.de\/en\/guided-tour-of-boettcherstrasse-cooper-street\/\">B\u00f6ttcherstra\u00dfe<\/a> (Cooper Street) we become acquainted with the Bremen coffee merchant Ludwig Roselius, the artist <a href=\"https:\/\/de.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Bernhard_Hoetger\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Bernhard Hoetger<\/a> and the painter <a href=\"https:\/\/de.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Paula_Modersohn-Becker\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Paula Modersohn-Becker<\/a>, and through them we build a bridge to <a href=\"http:\/\/www.bremer-promenaden.de\/en\/worpswede\/\">Worpswede<\/a>.
